Do you want an easy, vegan and nutritious recipe?

Today we will show you how to make delicious energy bars that can be served as a snack,  to accompany your breakfast, complement your sports training or simply enjoy watching your favourite series.

These energy bars besides being extremely delicious, are super healthy since they contain no added sugar or animal origin, all the necessary sweetness is provided by the dried dates in addition to peanut butter which also gives a good amount of protein in each serving. Almonds are a great source for monosaturated fats (the good ones) for your body and the oatmeal is one of those superfoods that’ll keep you satisfied for hours and will also give you a lot of energy and stimulates the digestive processes.

You can take these bars wherever you want because they are super compact, light and easy to make.

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup of dates
  • 1 cup of almonds
  • 1 cup of oatmeal
  • 1 cup of peanut butter
  • ½ cup of water

Put the dry ingredients on a baking sheet or a pan and roast for 10 min at 350 F (176 C). In a blender, put the ½ cup of water with the cup of dates and blend it until it looks creamy.

Let the almonds and oatmeal cool down and chop it with a knife, mix the almonds and oatmeal in a bowl, add the peanut butter and the blended dates, and stir until they look homogeneous.

Place the mixture between two sheets of kitchen paper and give it a flat shape with your hands, leave it at least one inch thick.

Let it freeze for at least one hour.

After that time, take it out of the fridge and cut it in even pieces.

Now you have tasty and nutritious vegan energy bars that you can eat immediately as snacks, share with your friends or save for the munchies hour. Yum!
