French fries, gravy and cheese curds. I mean, how can someone not like poutine? It’s one of the greatest inventions in Canada since maple syrup and Drake.

Canada is known for many things, but over the past few years, one specific food item has gained a whole lot of international attraction, and that’s no other than our very own poutine!

A Beloved Canadian Classic

It’s safe to say that poutine is a staple food product in Canada. It’s beloved by everyone and consists of three simple ingredients: french fries, cheese curds and gravy. But it doesn’t stop there, Canada’s obsession with poutine has prompted chefs all across the country to come up with various types of poutine ranging, but not limited to options which include butter chicken, chili cheesesteak, veggie nacho and more.

The Poutine Festival is Back

In order to celebrate our love for poutine, Toronto hosted its very first Poutine Festival last year where it had nine food trucks parked at Yonge-Dundas Square and allowed Torontonians and tourists to feast on a variety of different types of poutine. After having such tremendous success, the festival is set to return this Spring! Yes, that’s right, if you missed out on the opportunity last year, don’t worry because from May 24th to 26th you will have the chance to try all the poutine you want from ten different vendors.

All the Poutine Flavours Imaginable

With over 50 different types of poutine to try out, those attending should expect to find some crazy combinations that they may have never seen before, such as the Muerte Taco poutine by Big D’s Dog House and Poutine Emporium, Land and Sea poutine by True North Eats and even an Apple Pie poutine created by Wickedly Sinful.

In addition to the many different boxes of poutines that will be offered throughout the 3-day event, Poutine Fest will also have live entertainment for event goers. For more information on the three-day event, be sure to visit their website at http://www.poutinefestontour.com/
