Recently, I went to an event, Food5ensations, that has launched all the latest innovations in food from some of our favourite brands. Here is what you can expect to see from duBreton, iögo, Natrel, and Olympic Yogurt.

Rethinking Charcuteries

Les Viandes du Breton is the largest producer and processor of natural and organic pork in North America. The company takes pride in their commitment to lifelong animal welfare. They are also improving peoples lives and health by offering them an organic product that is natural and without antibiotics. I tried some of their ham (their Black Forest is unreal), and you can tell it’s a high quality product.

Yogurt Kept Simple

I’m not sure why fruit on the bottom of yogurt is so satisfying, but I can’t get enough of it. iögo has an amazing fruit on the bottom yogurt in strawberry rhubarb and strawberry raspberry flavours. Their concept is simple ingredients that contain probiotics and 35% less sugar.

Cottage Cheese Reinvented

Some people despise the texture of cottage cheese. However, cottage cheese is full of protein and nutrients, has a nice flavour, and makes for a great snack. Well, lucky for all the cottage cheese haters out there, this product from Natrel will transform the way you consume cottage cheese. Their whipped cottage cheese dip is available in Plain, Roasted Red Peppers, and my personal favourite: Chive and Garlic.

The Organic Yogurt Lineup

Olympic is an organic yogurt company that is enthusiastic about high quality dairy products. They are taking things to the next level with some creative flavours that you can’t find anywhere else. I tried the Citrus Cardamom and it’s honestly one of the best yogurt flavours I’ve ever had. They also have a couple flavours coming out including Fig and Honey, and Smoked Applewood Vanilla, which I’m excited to try.
