Writer’s Guidelines
To submit to DINE, you must follow our Writer’s Guidelines. We welcome ideas and queries from professional and aspiring writers. We accept submissions from writers who show writing flair and professionalism.
DINE’s Style
We recommend applicants be familiar with our style, tone and content. To find examples, read our archived editorial content. Also, you can sign up for our newsletter to get an idea of DINE’s style.
We expect writers to be diligent with spelling, grammar and vocabulary. Our editorials are written as personal narrative. You must also provide a clear take-away for our readership. Any and all opinions must be qualified. It is essential to know and respect our audience.
Article To-Do’s
All articles must be thoroughly fact checked. Wikipedia is not a reliable resource. The articles must also pass a plagiarism test. You may use this free resource from Small SEO Tools.
Articles should be minimum 500 words but no more than 1000 words. In addition, they should be accompanied by photos. Photos must have accompanying captions so that we know where they were taken and what they represent.
The Submission Process
We are interested in and accept:
- Off-the-beaten-track travel destinations
- Popular travel destinations
- Unusual story angles on well-known food, wine and travel topics
- Health and Wellness
- Vegan and Gluten Free issues
We are not interested in, and do not accept:
- Previously published articles of any kind
- Press releases
- Articles that express political views
- Content that is divisive or offensive to any ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, creed or nationality
- Unqualified opinions
