The Bee’s Knees

Ungava Bees Knees

The phrase the “bee’s knees” was used in Prohibition times as slang to mean “the best.” This cocktail is a gin sour that’s believed to have been created around that time, and features fresh lemon and honey as key ingredients. If your guest wants something refreshing with gin, look no further.

Holiday recipe:

  • 2 oz. ungava® gin
  • ¾ oz. fresh lemon juice
  • 1 oz. honey syrup (2:1 honey:water)
  • lemon zest

Directions:

  • pour all liquid ingredients into a shaker with ice.
  • shake and fine strain into a chilled cocktail coupe/martini glass.
  • garnish with a lemon zest.
