Menstruators who suffer from Endometriosis, Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome, or other reproductive conditions know that when the sharks come around, the pain is debilitating. As an Endo and PCOS battler myself, I know first-hand that it feels like someone is grabbing me by the ovary and wringing it out like a towel. Or there are other times when the pain is akin to someone jabbing a harpoon into my pelvic region. Let us explore how to use CBD for Endo, PCOS, or other torturous reproductive conditions.

Treatments like Naproxen don’t do much for some. Doctors also prescribe birth control as a way to mask symptoms, but many folks (especially ones with mental health issues), can’t tolerate the side effects.

Praise be for CBD – if it weren’t for this magical treatment, many of us wouldn’t survive our deathly periods. If you’re new to trying CBD for menstrual cramps, bloating, or other unwanted symptoms, here are the best ways on how to use CBD (tried and true, by yours indeed).

What is CBD?

According to Project CBD:

“Cannabidiol (CBD) is a naturally occurring compound found in the resinous flower of cannabis, a plant with a rich history as medicine going back thousands of years. Today the therapeutic properties of CBD are being tested and confirmed by scientists and doctors around the world. A safe, non-addictive substance, CBD is one of more than a hundred’ phytocannabinoids,’ which are unique to cannabis and endow the plant with its robust therapeutic profile.”

Pill

I once made a horrendous mistake and took a THC pill before going on a Costco run with my cousin. My body couldn’t handle the high THC Content; although the pain was gone, “I was tripping”. That stand-in freezer freaked me out.

After the Costco disaster, I was told to try a CBD pill instead, and that’s honestly my top choice for treatment. It takes a little while to kick in, so be sure to make it as soon as you feel the pain coming on.

Edibles

Edibles with CBD are fantastic because they stay in your system for a long time.

They also come in many delicious forms like Gummy Bears, Chocolates, Cake Pops, and many more.

You don’t even notice the taste of the CBD, and this will knock the pain out.

Smoking CBD Through a Vape

A lot of people with chronic ailments may not want to smoke flowers out of a pipe or joint to avoid the adverse effects of smoking.

If you have the means to buy a vape, it’s an excellent investment. Also, if you’re lucky enough to try Charlotte’s Web strain, this will take care of any pain. Plus, it hits you instantly.

Tincture

Personally, the tincture isn’t my favorite. I don’t enjoy the taste, and I find it doesn’t stay in my system long enough, so I always have to take it every 20 minutes. Also, I feel like the effects lower the more I ingest it. That’s just my own experience with it, I’ve heard it’s a lifesaver for many.
