I don’t know about you but I literally grew up watching Gilmore Girls. I mean every single day after school, around 5 pm, you’d find me planted in front of my TV watching GG – it just became a part of my routine. And even though I’m no longer a child, I still find myself re-watching the entire series on Netflix, because the reality is just like Friends, Gilmore Girls is a lifestyle. Once you’re in, you can never go back. So you can imagine when I came across “Gilmore Girls Fan Festival” and the words “is heading to Unionville” right beside it, the two thoughts that instantly came to my mind were: one, what the heck is the Gilmore Girls fan fest, and why I haven’t I heard of it before; and two, are they actually coming to Canada?!

Today is the day! In an hour and a half, a limited number of tickets will be available for our Kent, Connecticut event, the Gilmore Gathering! Don’t miss your chance to experience a tour of Litchfield County (by bus!) with stops in the towns that inspired the show. It’ll be a weekend full of GGFF friends, cast & crew members, new activities & a few of your favorites! These tickets will go fast, because there aren’t very many of them! From 10am (CST)-noon, they will be $25 off and then the price will increase! https://www.gilmoregirlsfanfest.com/gilmoregirlsfanfesttickets/ **The site will say “sold out” until 10am and then we’ll add availability** #gilmoregirls #gilmoregirlsfanfest #kentct
After doing some research, I can confirm that for the first time ever, the Gilmore Girls Fan Fest is heading to Unionville – where the original pilot was filmed – and it’s is just an hour away from Toronto!
The Gilmore Girls fan fest will be running from October 4-6 and is “a gathering of friends (some you’ve already met but many you’ll get to know), many with shared dreams celebrating something that we all love, travelling from far corners of the world to connect with a show (a lifestyle, a religion you might say) that has uniquely impacted their own lives.”

Taking matters into our own hands! Nick Holmes lost his beloved scarf and so many attendees have graciously asked us to help locate it. So, here. Here is Nick’s blue scarf. Anybody snag it? Wearing it? Hiding it? Here’s hoping @narcissusholmes and @nickholmeshair. #whereismyscarf #gilmoregirls #gilmoregirlsfanfest
You can buy tickets for the event that will be selling for $365. While the schedule of events has yet to be posted, event goers can expect to take part in activities related to Stars Hollows such as knit-a-thons, tap dancing classes, tons of coffee and even a few meet-and-greets with actors from the show.
Some previous guests from last year’s festival includ Todd Lowe (Zack), Aris Alvarado (Caesar), Tanc Sade (Finn), Lizz Torres (Miss Patty) and Rini Bell (Lulu).
While this event is in no way connected to Warner Bros or Netflix, if there’s anything previous years have shown is that if you’re a die-hard Gilmore Girls fan, then this is one event you won’t want to miss.
