The Best Looks on The Bold Type Season 3

Watch how Kat, Jane, and Sutton slay it this season.

Reading Time: 3 minutes

I’m not sure when the shift was, but Freeform (or ABC Spark as it’s known in Canada) is the go-to network for progressive politics and is an educational source for young people who watch the network.

The Bold Type, in particular, has tackled topics like #MeToo, Intersectional Feminism, Racism, Queer Politics, Breast Cancer awareness, Body Positivity, and many more. It even features a much talked about, amazing lesbian sex scene that was Breakout TV for queer women.

What I particularly enjoy about this show is that their boss, Jacqueline Carlyle (played by Melora Hardin), is more of a mentor to the female characters on the show, and not some dragon boss that you can often see portrayed in films like the Devil Wears Prada. Rather, this series encourages positive relationships between women instead of creating competition.

The American dramedy created by Sarah Watson is inspired by the life of former Cosmopolitan editor-in-chief Joanna Coles (the magazine is renamed Scarlet in the show). Since The Bold Type takes place at a women’s magazine with a stocked up fashion closet, then you know the outfits always slay. Just like when I watch other Freeform shows like Grown-ish or Good Trouble, I find myself stalking The Bold Type fashions on the WornOnTV blog.

Here are the best looks of the right now on The Bold Type Season 3.

Jane’s Throwback to 2014

Jane has the most classic looks, but I couldn’t help loving her quirky denim overalls dress in the TBT episode when she first meets Sutton and Kat.

Kat Killin’ It at the Queer Prom

Kat to me has the best fashion on the show – I think it’s a bit more adventurous than the others. Here she is wearing a fitting rainbow coloured dress for the Queer Prom. And I think we can all agree that it is the right kind of extra.

Sutton’s Canadian Tuxedo

Even though Sutton is the emerging fashion designer on the show, her looks are more low key.

In the flashback episode, I couldn’t help but love the denim on denim trend that was popular at the time (and still makes an appearance now and again).
